Bajirao Mastani – Mast ani Magnanimous

The movie has gathered a lot of controversy, before the release, about the authenticity of the story and historic accuracy. But the makers have a disclaimer right upfront claiming no accuracy and taking cinematic liberties. So that rests the case.
The movie is about the love story between Peshwa Bajirao Bhallal (Ranveer Singh), his wife Kashibai (Priyanka Chopra) and his love, Princess Mastani (Deepika Padukone). But the story has two layers – A hindu warrior with a muslim princess and a married man falling in love with another woman.

Drishyam – Fabricated Imagery

Drishyam is movie about Vijay Salgaokar (Ajay Devgn), a simple, 4th fail, villager who runs a cable network in the village and has gained knowledge and become smart (actually very smart) by watching movies. His family consists of his wife and 2 daughters. A self made man and very respected in the village. He is faced with a life changing situation and he has to use his imagination and creates an imagery to save his family.

To be or not to be ….. that’s the question that haunts haider all the time, all the while….
The movie is based in Kashmir at the peak of militancy in the mid 90s. (What an apt setting, the conflicts within the characters in a conflict zone)
